Srinagar, 08-May: Action Aid Association and Uri Foundation organised an awareness program on Public Service Guarantee Act (PSGA) 2011 with the elected representatives, activists and students of Nambla village of Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.The program was themed – ‘Consensus building on the Implementation of the Public Service Guarantee Act 2011’ with all the stakeholders.The speakers for the program were Advocate Toseal Ahmad, Naveed Bukhtiyar and social activist Haneef Ahmad.Advocate Toseal talked in detail about the objectives and intention and procedure of the law. He also aware the participants about the remedies under the Act. Advocate Naveed spoke about the ways to implement the law and need to make amendments for strengthening. He also emphasised that PRIs and the educated class of the Uri have a greater responsibility to further disseminate knowledge and help the common masses.
