BJP leaders in Kashmir for a week-long visit of border areas

Srinagar 24-Nov; Ahead of the winter season, BJP leaders led by party President Ravinder Raina reached Karnah in border area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on their 3-day visit.Raina was accompanied by Senior BJP leader Anwar khan and officials from administration.Raina visited many areas of the frontier Tehsil to take first hand appraisal of various ongoing developmental works and later met various deputations, political leaders, social activists and prominent citizens of the Karnah.People raised many issues and demands including Sadnah Tunnel for safe and smooth road communication, relief, repair and renovation for affected people post floods, adequate staff for hospital, need for round the clock gynecologist, repair of roads, accommodation for employees, better power supply etc. Large number of public delegations also met the leaders seeking his intervention and necessary directions in resolution of various issues and schemes. Raina offered patient hearing to the issues and demands of the people and assured them of proper action and redressal after due deliberations with concerned authorities in due course of time. He emphasized upon the officers to work with added zeal towards restoration of all facilities, assessment of damage towards expediting relief measures.While speaking to Anwar khan said that discussing the developmental issues of the araes with the workers he asked workers to reach out to people at grass root level. He emphasized the party workers to step up their activities and hold meeting with people in their respective panchayats and strengthen the party at grass root level.Meanwhile, in continuity with their week long programme to border areas of north Kashmir,Leaders are expected to visit the Uri areas also.(CNS)
