Cement Meant for BRO Recovered at Contractor’s Home in Ganderbal

Ganderbal CNS, July 6: The cement meant to be used by Border Roads Organization (BRO) for government related contracts was recovered from the possession of a contractor in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Tuesday morning.Ganderbal police in a statement issued to CNS said that a joint team of police headed by SDPO Kangan arrested one business man and recovered over 200 bags of cement meant for BRO works from his possession.A senior police identified the contractor as Ishtiyaq Ah Shah son of Ab Ahad resident of Fraw Haknar Gund.Police statement added that illegal BRO cement about 200 /250 bags were recovered from his possessions at his residence in Fraw area of Kangan besides his tipper bearing registration number JK16A0531 was also seized.Moreover, driver of the vehicle Altaf Ah Kumar son Mohamad Ramzan, a resident of Fraw Gund, Kangan was also arrested.Police statement added that a case under the relevant sections of the law has been registered at police station Kangan and further investigation is going on on.
