DC Ganderbal presides over Public Grievance redressal Camp at Town Hall

Ganderbal, 07-Sept: District Administration Ganderbaltoday held Public Grievance redressal Camp at Town Hall Ganderbal as a part of weekly block Diwas which was presided over by Deputy Commissioner, Shyambir.The program was attended by Additional District DevelopmentCommissioner (ADDC), Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani, CPO, Irfan Giri, ACD, DrBashir Ahmad, CEO, CMO, DDC member Ganderbal, PRIs members ofblock Ganderbal besides other officers and official of line departments.During the proceedings of block Diwas, PRIs raised a number of grievances related to macdamization of Nagbal Warpora road, awareness camps by Horticulture department in Khalmulla, dredging of irrigationcanals, leveling of playground, better water and power supply and other issues of public importance were highlighted.The DC gave patient hearing to the issues raised on the occasion and necessary directions were issued to concerned officers for the redress of the grievances on immediate basis as per their competence.Replying the issue of organizing awareness camp by Horticulturedepartment, the DC said that in view of Urs Hazrat Qamar-Ud-Din Bukhari, all line departments have installed stalls in Qamaria stadium with the purpose to aware people about the schemes and showcase various services provided by them and urged PRIs to motivate people in their Halqas to visit these stalls during the Urs days to get awareness on various schemes offered by these departments.He also exhorted upon the officers that trained resource persons shall be deputed at stalls having complete knowledge about the services being offered so that people visiting these stalls get precise information.The ADDC while interacting with PRI members said that purpose of organizing weekly Block Diwas is to facilitate face to face interaction between the common masses and PRIs with administration so that issues requiring intervention of district administration could be disposed of on priority.(CNS)Almost Entire staff of SDH Yaripora goes for outing on working day Kulgam,CNS,07-Sep; In a bizarre incident in Kashmir, doctors and Para-medics in the sub district hospital Yaripora went on outing without taking into consideration the patients who had come to hospital expecting to get treatment.Sources said that at least 6 staff members of the hospital including  consultants along with Para-medics on Wednesday chose to enjoy picnic without having any regard for the patients visiting hospital.One of the employee posted in the hospital expressed surprise and shock over the doctors choosing a picnic at a time hospitals are flooded with patients.“One wonders how the senior doctors preferred picnic over duties. Their going to picnic puts a question mark on the credibility of doctors also as the patients in huge number have been waiting for the appointment,” the employee said.According to the source, doctors had gone to picnic without the proper permission of the concerned authorities. “Allowing around a half dozen employees to go for picnic despite knowing the rush of patients in the hospital is more than irony” they said.Meanwhile, CMO Kulgam, Dr. Mohammad Rafiq Dobhi said that he is unaware of the thing and will confirm the same from concerned BMO.On being contacted by CNS, BMO, Nighat Nasreen while refuted the absence of the staff. However on contacted again at 11.30am she said that only two consultant are on leave and they have intimated her via call. 

Meanwhile, DC Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohiudin told CNS that those found absent from duty will be dealt strictly.(CNS)
