KISHTWAR, FEBRUARY 08: To listen and redress the grievances/issues of people at their doorsteps, District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Dr. Devansh Yadav (IAS) today presided over Weekly Block Diwas programme at Chamoti, a very remote and backward ST area of block Drabshalla.Among others, the programme was attended DDC member Drabshalla A, Ashok Kumar; ACD, Atul Dutt Sharma; Chief Education Officer, Sudershan Sharma; CDPO Drabshalla, Farhat Shameem; AEE Jal Shakti besides representatives of RDD, Education, Jal Shakti.During the programme, various issues pertaining to the Panchayat were put forth by the DDC Member and public representatives of the areas. They demanded augmentation of drinking water supply scheme under JJM, electrification of left out villages, up-gradation of MS Chamoti to High School, Health Centre, PMGSY road for upper Chamoti, Payment of Compensation of land acquired for Chamoti Road, besides jobs for the unskilled youth in Rattle Hydro electric project.The DC gave a patient hearing and resolved the majority of them on the spot by passing up a slew of directors to the Officers of the concerned departments. He assured them that the rest of the grievances will be redressed in a time bound manner.He encouraged parents to send the identified 60 Out of School Children back to school. He said a report with all documents will be submitted by Naib Tehsildar and DSEO to facilitate issuance of Birth certificates to 40 identified children lacking the same.He said that people need not to worry about the ongoing Anti-Encroachment Drive as the government is committed to safeguard the interests of common people.
