POONCH, DECEMBER 12: Deputy Commissioner Poonch Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting to review the progress of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) for the financial year 2023/24.The meeting focused on the agriculture and allied sectors, with officers from various stakeholder departments, including Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, and Fisheries, providing comprehensive updates on program registrations, departmental approvals, and ongoing projects.During the session, 29 projects were discussed, and the Deputy Commissioner directed all concerned departments to expedite their progress within the next 10 days. He underscored the importance of promoting apiculture, Mandi Loran Rajmash, niche crops etc, while also strengthening the agri-marketing system within the J&kDeputy Commissioner emphasized that the HADP is a pivotal initiative aimed at fostering a sustainable and profitable agricultural ecosystem.The programme strives to empower farmers with the knowledge and tools necessary to boost their productivity and profitability, ultimately contributing to the overall growth of the agriculture sector, he stated.The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to advancing agricultural development in the region, ensuring that farmers receive the support they need to thrive.
