BANDIPORA, FEBRUARY 07: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Bandipora on Tuesday organised an awareness programme regarding Tele Laws at District Court Complex, here.The awareness programme was held in coordination with Tehsil Legal Services Authority Sumbal and Block Development Office Sumbal as part of the monthly calendar of activities.Chairman District Legal Services Authority/ Pr. District & Sessions Judge Bandipora chaired the programme while Secretary DLSA Bandipora, Nusrat Ali Hakak supervised the event and inaugurated the programme.On the occasion, she apprised the participants regarding Tele-law. She said that Tele-Law is a means of use of the communications and information technology for delivering Legal Information and advice.Adv. Tasleema Jan, Panel Lawyer resource person also delivered a lecture and stated that the concept of Tele-Law is to facilitate delivery of legal advice through a panel of lawyers stationed at the DLSAs, TLSCs and CSCs.She also highlighted that the project initiates to connect citizens with lawyers through video conferencing facilities by the Para-Legal Volunteers stationed at Panchayat. “The interaction between lawyers and the people would be done through video conferencing infrastructure available at CSCs,” she added.
