Srinagar, 23-May : In Kashmir, Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (I&B), Apurva Chandra today highlighted the role of Film Facilitation Office(FFO) of the Ministry.During his presentation at the side event ‘Promoting Incredible India Through Film Tourism’ of 3rd G20 Tourism Working Group meeting in Srinagar, the Secretary said that the FFO provides an enabling environment for filming in India.He said the Office has a pro-active ecosystem of nodal officers across 36 States and Union Territories in India, and is responsible for facilitating filming permissions, grant of official co-production and expediting the issuance of visas to International cast and crew.Chandra said the Ministry of I&B provides several incentives for foreign production and official co-production. He said the incentives include up to 35 per cent of qualifying expenditure in India under the category of Federal Incentives.
