Awantipora, 10-Mar,: Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) organized One-day capacity building workshop on implementation of NEP-2020 in Polytechnic Colleges of J&K which was attended by faculty members, including HODs from different polytechnics representing their engineering departments (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical/Computer Engineering/Architecture). The objective of the workshop was to discuss the various steps needed to make polytechnics in J&K compliant with NEP-2020 and was sponsored by the Department of Skill Development J&K.Speaking on the occasion Dean Research IUST, Prof. A.H Moon emphasized the importance of the workshop and highlighted the recommendations of the expert committee set up by the Government of J&K, chaired by Prof. Shakil Romshoo, Vice Chancellor IUST, to recommend the transfer of academic credits from Polytechnics to Engineering colleges in the UT.
