JAMMU: Poonch Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested three persons for allegedly raping a woman and threatening her with death in Seri Chowhana of district.Police spokesperson from Poonch said, “According to the complaint, the woman was allegedly raped by the three in an abandoned house at Seri Chowhana in Mandi area last month.”On March 11, Police Station Mandi received a written complaint from one lady(name withheld) that on February 21, one person namely Gultaj Ahmed s/o Mohd Ayoub resident of Seri Chowhana having an acquaintance to her, called her to come to his place to discuss marriage and later took her to an abandoned house”, police said“Once they reached there, he ( accused) called two other accused namely Ajaz Ahmed s/o Quyoom Khan and Shaqeel Ahmed s/o Mohd Yousuf both resident Seri Chowhana and then the trio committed rape on her during the night,” said the police spokesperson quoting the complainant.
