Jammu, 06-Dec; Jammu and Kashmir Border Area Development Conference (JK-BADC) a registered organization working for the welfare of J & K has demanded setting up of computer and Information Technology training centres in each Panchayat of Border areas of Jammu and Kashmir to familiarize the youth of border areas with the computer and IT and to make them skilful and employable. In a statement issued to CNS, BADC asked the Jammu and Kashmir government to establish as many computer and IT training centres in rural & border areas of J & K as possible, as this would ultimately help the youth of J & K to learn skills and becoming self employable as presently the government is unable to provide jobs to the youth and there is almost negligible private sector in far flung areas of J&K.Expressing disappointment, Dr Shazad Ahmed Malik, Chairman of the BADC and former Vice Chancellor said it is sad and unfortunate that in comparison to the glorious experience and success story of rest of India in Information Technology Sector, Jammu and Kashmir and especially the people of border areas of J & K could not become part of this IT success saga of India.Making humble submission to the Union home minister Amit Shah and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to establish village level computer centres in border areas of J & K, the former VC also assured that his organization (JKBADC) would provide all possible help to the government in this mission as and when asked.
