Jammu , September 3rd , 2020 :- In a plantation drive held in the premises of Police station ,Gharota for Eco-friendly, green and clean environment Shri Mukesh Singh –IPS IGP Jammu Zone, Jammu today launched the drive by planting a sapling in the premises.Shri Vivek Gupta,IPS DIG JSK Range and Shri Shridhar Patel-IPS SSP Jammu were also present on the occasion.
IGP Jammu Zone emphasized that it is the duty of every citizen of this country to plant at least one plant. The world is Presently grapling with the threat of global warming with warning signals like frequent and intense drought, storms, heat waves, rising sea levels, which can directly harm animals, destroy the places they live, and wreak havoc on people’s livelihoods and communities.He further stressed that trees can play a major role to control the global warming and maintain the eco-friendly environment, so the need of hour is that we must plant more and more trees.
