There is palpable concern among students of Jammu University and their parents. They wonder if it would be safe to conduct exams after hundreds of people have tested positive in the University Campus.
The news comes at time when coronavirus is raging in Jammu City. Cases in Jammu District have doubled in last one week as more than 2700 more people have tested positive for coronavirus in Jammu District alone in 6 days.
The news has left students petrified and many want exams to be postponed. Students of institutions in Jammu including JU and Cluster University have campaigned on social media to delay the exams in view of rising local cases in Jammu.
Amid growing concerns and requests to take exams online, the VC of Jammu University has said that it is not feasible to take online exams due to High-Speed Internet restrictions in J&K.
