Pr. Secy SED inspects various schools of Jammu district

Principal Secretary, School Education Department (SED), B.K Singh on Saturday inspected various schools of district Jammu to take note of the day to day working in view of the recent reopening of schools for offline classes.Director School Education Jammu, Dr. Ravi Shankar Sharma, Chief Education Officer Jammu, Suraj Singh Rathore and other officials accompanied the Principal Secretary during the visit. On his visit to GHSS Boys Gole Gujral, Principal Secretary inaugurated the newly constructed Art & Craft Room and Computer Room. He also inaugurated Volleyball court and witnessed a friendly match there.The Principal Secretary also announced the remodelling of the institution by opening a model ‘SUPER 100’ Coaching Centre for Students of Jammu division in the school with specialized teaching faculty for competitive examinations like NEET, JEE (IIT) etc. The highlight of the project is that it will host complete residential facilities within the school premises along with other amenities.On the occasion, the Principal Secretary also announced that every year 10 seats will be reserved for the student of the school to boost their morale and tap the enormous talent of the local students of the area.During the visit, the local Sarpanch and other public representatives interacted with the Principal Secretary and apprised him about the prevailing situation, condition and the existing status of the Education sector in the area. The Principal Secretary assured the public representatives, general public present at the venue, parents, students and the staff members that every possible step will be taken to ensure that the students receive the best quality education.Thereafter, the Principal Secretary visited Govt. Girls HS, Gole Gujral wherein he interacted with the students and also held a meeting with the Head Master and staff members of the institution. During the visit, the Principal Secretary announced the construction of 16 new rooms after dismantling of unsafe building. Meanwhile, the Principal Secretary visited Government Higher Secondary School, Bhalwal where he released the first ever issue of the School Magazine KARVAAN.
