In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the Police on Thursday detained four illegal Bangladeshi immigrants at Lakhanpur, the gateway to the J&K in Kathua district of Jammu division. The Lakhanpur is the border of Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab. The police said after thorough verification, the detained persons were found to be illegal immigrants from Bangladesh.The immigrants were detained at COVID testing centre at Lakhanpur when coming from Punjab towards Jammu and Kashmir. The detainees are being questioned about their entry into India and J&K without any valid documents.
