Srinagar , July 10: – President Jammu and Kashmir Employees Coordination Committee and Chairman Jammu & Kashmir Teachers Association, Shah Fayaz in a statement issued to CNS on Friday appealed LG Manoj Sinha and chief secretary Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta (IAS) of Jammu and Kashmir to release salary of the employees in advance for month of July ahead Eid ul Adha festival. Shah Fayaz said, “This festival is celebrated once in a year and on this occasion Muslims perform sacrifices, all of us know the current pandemic has made all of us to suffer a lot financially as well as psychologically and in the advent of Eid that too during the last days of the month makes us to face difficulties in arranging various needs for the same”. He added that this year the Eid will be celebrated before the 25th of the month and as per the general practice of treasuries, salary is expected to be released after the month or after 25th, which can make employees face hardships.
JKECC Appeals for Release of Advance Salary Ahead of Eid ul Adha Celebrations
JKECC on behalf of employees of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir requested the LG Government and Chief Secretary, J&K to take cognizance in this matter, so that all employees can celebrate Eid along with their family without any financial difficulty. Shah Fayaz also appealed for the release of salary/ wages to temporary workers, daily wagers, contractual and such other need based workers who are always on the forefront of various assignments and are working on ground level to ensure essential supplies to people. According to the statement decision to request for early release of salary was taken by executive member meet and addition to President Shah Fayaz, it was attended by all core members of the coordination committee including Aabida War Vice President JKECC, Altaf Rasool Secretary General JKECC, Dr. Fayaz Ahmad Chief Spokesman JKECC, Hatim Quyoom Chief Coordinator JKEEC, Shah Aashiq Chief Media Advisor, Qaiser Bhat Provisional Secretary JKECC besides them heads of other employees unions/associations and contractual associations stressed and appealed to government for speedy redressal of various genuine demands of the employees like regularisation of daily wagers, proper salary system for ICDS and other such employees. Shah Fayaz assured all possible support and cooperation from JKECC in matters of J&K UT Employees. “JKECC is an apex body of various employee organizations and employees unions of several departments of Jammu and Kashmir” he said. He hoped that LG Manoj Sinha and Chief Secretary Dr. AK Mehta would fulfill all genuine demands of the employees of the Union Territories and would consider the advance salary request ahead of Eid.
