Bandipora Police arrests 03 terrorist associates; incriminating materials recovered
September 08: On a credible input, Bandipora Police have arrested three terrorist associates linked to proscribed terror outfit LeT. Incriminating materials including a hand grenade, Flag making equipments etc have been recovered from their possession.
Bandipora Police received an information that some anti-national elements at the behest of local active terrorists of LeT have hoisted Pakistani flags at Main Bazar Hajin in order to create fear psychosis and incite anti-national feelings among the common people of Hajin area.
Accordingly, case FIR No. 35/2020 under relevant sections of law was registered in PS Hajin and investigation was taken up. During the course of investigation, officers learnt about the involvement of three individuals involved in the commission of crime. They have been arrested and identified as Mujeeb Shamas, Tanveer Ahmad Mir and Imtiyaz Ahmad Sheikh all residents of Mir Mohalla Hajin.
Incriminating material including 01 Hand Grenade, Flags, Flag making cloth, sewing machine and other material used for preparing flags were recovered from them. Further investigation of the case is going on.
