More schemes being planned for wards of martyrs
Jammu, November 21: Continuing with its endeavour to boost the morale and assist the wards of those Police personnel who sacrificed their lives while safeguarding the interests of people , Director General of Police, Shri Dilbag Singh sanctioned scholarship of over rupees 3.6 lakh in favour of forty four school going wards for the accademic year 2019-2020 vide an order issued by PHQ today.
Under this order, rupees twelve thousand has been sanctioned in favour of Mulim Farooq who is pursuing B. Tech and rupees ten thousand each have been sanctioned in favour of twenty eight wards of marty police personnel who are pursuing their studies in class 11th, 12th and Bachelor’s Degree. Similarly rupees six thousand each have been sanctioned in favour of ten wards studying in different classes from 7th to 10th. Rupees two thousand and four hundred have been sanctioned in favour of four wards studying in primary classes.
The amount has been sanctioned out of Central Police Education Found. The scholarships are granted round the year for the school/college going wards of police martyrs to provide them assistance in pursuing education.
The Police Headquarters is running a number of schemes for the welfare of wards of martyrs. The wards who are studying in Police Schools across the Jammu and Kashmir are being provided free education,free books, stationary free boarding and lodging in the school hostels. Police Headquarters is exploring and planning to introduce some more schemes for the wards of martyrs in near future.
