April 24: Deputy Inspector General of Police South Kashmir Range Anantnag Shri Abdul Jabar-IPS today visited District Kulgam and reviewed the security scenario, anti- terrorist operations, preventive measures taken to combat COVID-19 and other crime works.

During his visit, DIG SKR chaired meeting with SP Kulgam and other officers of District Police Kulgam and discussed different security measures taken for the maintenance of overall peace in the District.
Superintendent of Police Kulgam Shri GurinderPal Singh-IPS gave a detailed presentation regarding the security scenario of the district and briefed the DIG about current situation in the district including anti-terrorist operations, maintenance of law & order, measures taken to eradicate drug menace and implementation of guidelines issued by the Government to contain pandemic disease COVID-19.
DIG SKR urged upon the officers to strengthen the general security grid of their respective areas to ensure peace and also urged speedily investigation of the cases in professional manner for their logical conclusion.
He also appreciated the efforts of Kulgam police in combating the Coronavirus and maintaining law and order in the District.
