BANDIPORA, SEPTEMBER 05: On the occasion of Teachers Day, Govt Higher Secondary School Nowgam Sumbal today organised a Drug De-addiction cum Career Counselling programme. Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Sumbal, Dr. Bashir Ahmad Lone was the chief guest on the occasion. Various programmes including group discussion and Nukkad Naatak to raise awareness regarding drug addiction among youth and its solutions were held during the event. Dr Bashir emphasized that each student is a hero of his family and locality and has a lot of responsibilities on his shoulders. He said that each student must dream big and must do every possible but legitimate effort to fulfill his dream. He stressed upon the role and support of parents. He suggested that each student should learn at least 5 languages which are spoken around the globe and also suggested that each student should learn a new skill in each year which in turn will improve the overall functioning of their brains.The SDM counseled students about the importance of come back in life after a failure and said that drug addiction is not an answer or solution to the problems but is itself a grave problem.He said that there will be failures in life which will induce a lot of stress and the only way and method to deal with that stress is ‘come back ‘ not drug addiction.
