Kulgam : December 22, 2020:
Police Station Devsar received a written complaint on 15 Dec, 2020 from a person stating that his daughter (name withheld) was kidnapped by one namely Ishtiyak Ahmad Wagay S/O Abdul Ahad Wagay resident of Pazalpora Kounsarbal.
Acting promptly upon the complaint Case with FIR No. 127/2020 U/S 363, 366A, 506 IPC was registered in Police Station Devsar and investigation was set into motion. On tip off a team headed by SHO Devsar Insp. Jazib Mohammad under the supervision of DySP PC Kulgam Shri. Arvind Kumar Badgal-JKPS was constituted to rescue the kidnapped girl and to nab the Culprit.
Utilizing all available means, with strenuous efforts specific information was generated by the investigating team which led in rescuing the kidnapped girl and accused involved in committing the crime was arrested.
After fulfilling all medico-legal formalities the rescued minor girl has been handed over to her legal heirs and Further investigation regarding the incident is in process.
General public especially the family members of the rescued minor girl applauded the prompt action taken by Kulgam police.
