Baramulla 23 June (CNS): Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Baramulla, Amod Ashok Nagpure on Friday said that they are mulling over to confiscate the properties of habitual and notorious drug dealers in the district.In an exclusive interview with SSP Baramulla, he told CNS that they are not going to spare the habitual and notorious drug dealers at any cost and would confiscate their properties. The details regarding the step would be shared soon with the media, Nagpure added.He further said that in order to eradicate the drug menace from the society they have already started a war against the same. “Baramulla Police have arrested 246 notorious drug dealers from the sub division Pattan, Uri and Baramulla in the first five months of 2023,” SSP Baramulla said.It was also said that 26 wanted and repeated offenders have been booked under PSA and shifted to different jails of UT J&K. Regarding the chemists, he said that it has been observed that some medical practitioners are now misusing drugs by selling it to the drug addicts, who later on abuse the drugs meant for treating illness.
