Anantnag,26-Nov ;State Investigating Agency (SIA) has seized properties belonging to Jamaat-e-Islami in South Kashmir’s Anantnag on Saturday.As per reports, properties at eleven locations worth crores of rupees have been sealed with restrictions on usage and entry after being notified by District Magistrate Anantnag on the recommendation of SIA J&K .According to an order by district magistrate Anantnag, Basharat Qayoom, 13 properties have surfaced that are owned by and under possession of banned association Jamaat-e-Islami and are located in the jurisdiction of district Anantnag and are to be notified in terms of section 8 UA(P) Act.Upon obtaining the report from concerned Tehsildar and after perusal of Revenue Record pertaining to these properties, it was found that these properties are owned by or under possession of banned Jamaat-e-Islami association through their members, it read.
