In its continuous efforts against social evils, Police Station Nigeen arrested a drug peddler. While carrying out routine checking, one suspect who was coming from shalimar end towards Foreshore road tried to conceal himself and ran away on seeing the police.
Acting swiftly, police party apprehended him and upon his search, a bag was found in possession containing around 385 grms of Charas like substance was recovered from his possession. After questioning he disclosed his name as
Aijaz Ahmad Ganie
S/o Mohd Abdullah Ganie
R/o Nowpora Chadoora Budgam
In this connection case FIR No.121/20 under relevant sections of law was registered at PS Nigeen and investigation taken up.
