Kulgam, 06-Sep; Digitization of jamabandies in UT of JK is under transition stage that is from offline mode to online mode .In digitization process, district Kulgam has always remained on top position and two Tehsils have completed all jamabandies before due date by the efforts of Tehsildar Yaripora Mohammad Iqbal and Tehsildar Frisal Ab Waseeul Rouf Deva and by Field Staff Patwaries of both tehsils.The district has seven tehsils – Kulgam, Damhal Hanji Pora, Devsar, Frisal, Yaripora, Pahloo and Qaimoh. Among these, frisal and Yaripora have been fully digitized.Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din-Bhat and Revenue department Kulgam have hailed the efforts of revenue officials in these Tehsils.
The land records modernisation programme was started in a phased manner. Initially scanned documents were uploaded on a web portal where jamabadi of a whole village was available. The digitisation of Jamabandi and demystification of revenue records.(CNS)
