Kulgam, 11-Mar,: In a technological era, dozens of villages in district Kulgam are still without mobile connectivity as they are located away from mobile towers. The villages Begam, kakran, chantakiya block Pumbay area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district are without mobile phone connectivity for the past many years.Locals of these areas told that there are hundreds of customers of Airtel and Jio telecommunication companies, but they are unable to even make a voice call on the available network. The students said their monthly data pack had been wasted as they had not been able to surf the internet for almost a month. Similarly, the government employees who remain connected to their higher-ups through official WhatsApp groups or emails after office hours complained about the connectivity and snags in connecting voice calls.
