Leh, 7 Sept.: The Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Leh Gyal P. Wangyal today visited Taknak Sakti and assessed ongoing contact tracing procedures and other preparedness of PHC Sakti as three local labours of BRO, and two non local labours were tested COVID-19 positive recently.
CEC Wangyal along with SDM Kharu A.G Zargar, MO PHC Sakti Dr. Lal Didi met with local positive patients isolated in their respective homes and urged them to follow COVID19 SOPs strictly. Wangyal boosted the morale of patients and their family members and urged them to remain stress free. He also handed over masks, gloves and sanitizers to the families.
CEC was informed that two non local labours who were tested positive were shifted to CCC Choglamsar and on the direction of CEC the sample of remaining 9 non local labours who were brought at Taknak Sakti for construction of Taknak Phoo to Sakti Farka road was taken today for repeat test.
CEC later inspected PHC Sakti and applauded the work done by the hospital staff to fight the pandemic. Wangyal said that the morale of COVID patients and their family members must be given a boost constantly.
Meanwhile, CEC along with Xen. Construction Leh Nissar Ahmad and AEE Construction also inspected the upcoming Taknak Phoo to Sakti Farka road site under district plan and discussed the execution plan of this new road.
