Leh, 12 Sept.: The Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Leh Gyal P. Wangyal chaired a meeting of all the HODs headed by Deputy Commissioner Leh Sachin Kumar in presence of Dy. Chairman Tsering Sandup, Executive Counicllor for Agriculture Phuntsog Stanzin, Executive Counicllor for Education Konchok Stanzin, and Executive Councillor for Minority Mumtaz Hussain at DC Conference hall Leh today regarding formulation of revised estimate 2020-21 and Budget estimate 2021-22 and invited the observations, views and suggestions of HODs regarding ongoing 2020-21 budget expenditure process and upcoming budget estimate 2021-22.
CEC Wangyal directed all the HODs to submit tentative revised estimate budget for the current financial year 2020-21 and budget estimate 2021-22 of Capex Budget of Hill Council Leh within a week time and accurate estimate data by 30th Sept. 2020.
The meeting agreed upon the financial principles of Revised Estimated (RE) 2020-21 and Budget Estimated (BE) 2021- 2022 as per which all the proposed projects/schemes shall be completed within three years provided that funds should be released in full with the completion of projects in three years.
The meeting also decided to convene a meeting of all the Councillors of LAHDC, Leh with HODs next Friday to discuss strategies for prioritizing projects constituency wise so that funds could be made available to complete important projects in one go.
