Leh, 27, Dec:- A very important meeting of all the pubic representatives and stakeholders of Shaam region was held under the chairmanship of Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Leh Advocate Tashi Gyalson at Khaltsi today to deliberate and discuss important pending demands and issues of Shaam region.
The meeting was attended by Councillor Khaltsi Lobzang Sherab, Councillor Lamayuru Morup Dorjey, Councillor Temisgam Sonam Dorjey, Councillor Skurbuchan Lundup Dorjey, Chairman BDC Khaltsi, Chairman BDC Singhey – Lalaok, Contractor Association Shaam, Sarpanchs and Nambarders of Shamm region.
The meeting deliberated in detail about the important demands of Shaam region including granting of a separate district for Shaam region, promotion of tourism, agriculture, and horticulture in the region, and early functional of degree college at Khaltsi with required faculty members.
The Councillors, BDC chairman, pubic representatives, and stakeholders giving valuable feedbacks and suggestion regarding the overall development of Shaam region in every respect also raised other demands and issues of Shaam region before the Chairman Tashi Gyalson and assured their full support and cooperation in strong follow-up for different important demands of Shaam region.
CEC Gyalson said that the present Hill Council is committed to ensure equal development of all the region of Leh district and assured that Council will try its level best to fulfill all pending and genuine demands of Shaam region at the earliest possible time.
