KATHUA: In continuation to take tough action and to check the illegal activities of bovine smugglers, Kathua police under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua, R C Kotwal – rescued 15 bovines.Police said today a team led by Inspector, Sumeet Sharma, SHO Police Station, Lakhanpur under the supervision, DySP, DAR Kathua, Sukhdev Singh noticed one truck bearing Registration No. JK08B/3771 at Maggar Khad.During checking 15 bovines i.e 11 cows and four oxen were loaded in the truck. Thereafter all the bovines were rescued and truck was seized. Driver of the vehicle however fled away from the spot.A case FIR No. 84/2021 U/S 188 IPC, 11PCA Act has been registered at Police Station, Lakhanpur and further investigation is going on.
