Masjid, residential house damaged in Sopore fire mishap

Srinagar, 25-Oct: A mosque and a residential house were damaged in massive fire in Tarzoo area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district overnight.As per reports, massive fire broke out at Izat Shah Colony in Tarzoo Sopore involving a mosque namely ‘Masjid Mustafa’ and 2-storey residential house.Officials of fire and emergency department said that they received the call at around 1.55 hours and immediately three water tenders were rushed to the area from Sopore station.Two fire fighters identified as Ali Mohammad Reshi and Wajad Ahmad Dar sustained minor injuries after one LPG cylinder exploded in the incident.After the hectic efforts of firefighters the flames were brought under control and prevented from spreading further.Meanwhile, the police has taken cognizance of the fire incident and initiated further investigations.
