Madhya Pradesh government has cancelled winter vacation in schools this year. The step has been taken by the Department of School Education, MP to help students with their preparations for board exams and other local examinations in the state. The winter vacations in schools were scheduled from December 26 to December 31, 2020.With this step, students will get sufficient time to communicate directly with teachers for their preparations and can solve their queries before the exam begins.The state government had reopened the schools for classes 10, 12 from December 18 onwards. On Day 1, Parents Teacher Meeting was held in the government schools in the state to discuss the upcoming Board exams. The state government had also issued SOPs that were to be followed in schools after reopening.Along with this, the Board of Secondary Education, MP extended the last date to fill online application for MPBSE Board Exam 2021 till December 31, 2020. Students who will appear for the 10th 12th board exams can fill the application form on the official site of MPBSE. Also, the Board has reduced the late fees for online application submission.Meanwhile, schools for classes 1 to 8 in the state will remain closed till March 31, 2021, and no annual examination would be conducted for these classes in the state. The state government has decided to evaluate the students in the upcoming half-yearly and annual exams on the basis of worksheets. The half-yearly evaluation of Class 1 to Class 8 Madhya Pradesh board students will be done in the month of January and the annual assessment in February and March.
