Nationwide protests held by BJP against derogatory remarks of Pakistani FM

Srinagar,17-Dec; The BJP held nationwide protests today against the derogatory remarks of Pakistani Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto. The protests were held in all the state capitals across the country.The protestors across country termed Pakistani Foreign minister’s remark is highly derogatory, defamatory and full of cowardice which has been given just to remain in power and save the government.“His statement is also aimed at misleading the world and divert global attention from Pakistan’s collapsing economy, lawlessness and anarchy, its deteriorating global relations and the fact that Pakistan has become the major sanctuary for terrors”, the protestors said. Apart from other headquarters, heavy protests took place in Jammu, where effigies of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Pakistani flags were burnt. Additionally, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha cadres chanted anti-Pakistan slogans. In Srinagar, BJP’s senior leader and District President Srinagar Ashok Bhat along with several party leaders and other workers took part in the protest at Jawahar Nagar Chowk in the afternoon. They burnt FM’s effigy and also raised anti-Pakistan slogans.They added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has left its indelible mark on various global for a while on the other hand there is neighbouring country which has faced ridicule and insult on various international platforms.“Such a demeaning statement of Bhutto had further lowered the image of Pakistan on the global platform,” they added. Notably, the entire episode began with S Jaishankar’s statement at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) hitting out at Pakistan for harbouring Osama Bin Laden and also hatching the plan for the attack on the Indian Parliament, “While we search for the best solutions, what our discourse must never accept is the normalisation of such threats.
