Rajouri,03-Jan; Six pyres were lit simultaneously today for the last rites of six civilians killed in the militant attack at Dhangri village of Rajouri district.As per reports, hundreds of people and top officials from civil and police administration gathered at the cremation ground in Dangri village today morning for the last rites.Jammu and Kashmir DGP Dilbag Singh, ADGP Jammu Mukesh Singh, BJP State President Ravindra Raina and people from around Dhangri area bid farewell to the dead with moist eyes.During this, there was a lot of anger among the people against terrorism.Notably, On Sunday night, two suspected militants indiscriminately opened fire at three houses in Dhangri, during which four civilians were killed and five others were wounded.On Monday morning, two minor children also died and few others were injured after an unattended IED blast went off in one of the houses of the slain civilians in Dangri village.The attack has created panic and fear among the locals, while security agencies are ascertaining details about the attack.Later in the evening, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha also reached Dangri village to review the situation and express solidarity with the victim families.
