Srinagar, 05-Feb: A soldier died while another was injured after a truck hit them near Fruit Mandi Parimpora area of Srinagar city.Sources told that a speeding truck hit two soldiers affiliated with 163 Territorial Army were part of a Road Opening Party(RoP).The soldiers identified as Sanjay Kumar and Rafiq Ahmad were shifted to hospital where Sanjay Kumar was declared brought dead on arrival by the doctors while Rafiq Ahmad has been admitted and is presently under treatment.Police sources said that driver left the truck bearing registration number JKO3J /3811 at the spot but fled from the spot.Meanwhile, a case has been registered and further investigations have been initiated.(CNS)
