Srinagar, 04-Feb: Jammu Kashmir People’s Party Supremo Sheeban Ashai announced that his political outfit in larger public interest would move High Court challenging unlawful use of bulldozers for so called retrieval of state land.Ashai in a statement issued to CNS said, “What has happened again today in Kursu Padshaibagh is heart wrenching. We would not be silent spectators to what is happening in front of our eyes. How standard legal procedure is being thrown to winds and bulldozers are being used to torment; intimidate hapless citizens of Jammu and Kashmir.Ashai stated that as per law of eviction of unauthorized occupants Government is duty bound to first serve a legal notice to occupant of property and time has to be provided to occupant to prove his claim. How has it become that under LG regime it’s seems Emergency has been unleashed upon citizens of Jammu & Kashmir and bulldozers are being used to bring down people’s property;Ashai excoriated such brazen display of murder of rule of law; blowing to smithreens law of land and constitution of India. He assured people of all possible assistance and guaranteed that party would move to courts to seek justice for aggrieved citizens. We will not leave our people at mercy of such an inhumane regime which believes in diabolical politics of arm twisting; coercing common citizenry.
