Bandipora , July 24 : Two unidentified militants were killed and three soldiers injured in an encounter in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday.According to the local sources government forces launched a cordon and search operation in Shokbaba forest area in the Sumblar area of Bandipora in north Kashmir following inputs about the presence of militants there.Defense sources told that as the forces were conducting searches in the area and rushed towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, the forces retaliated, triggering an encounter in which two militants were killed.Defense sources added that three soldiers were also injured in the gunfight, adding they were taken to a medical facility for treatment.
