Baramulla,01-Dec;The Red Ribbon Club of the College in collaboration with NSS Units and Red Cross Committee organized a Valedictory Function of 10 day’s long World AIDS Awareness Programme on 1st Dec, 2022. The program was based on this year’s theme “Equalize – Achieving Equity to End HIV”. The programme commenced with the Review of activities conducted under 10 days long AIDS Awareness Programme by Dr. Asiya Nazir, NSS Programme Officer Unit I.In her speech, she deliberated on the activities that were organized to promote awareness regarding the theme including causes, consequences and control measures of this dreaded disease. The activities organized included Essay Writing Competition, Poster Designing, Reel Making/ Mobile Film Directing Competition, Extempore Speech Competition and an Extension lecture by an expert (counsellor) from SDH Pattan.Announcement of the result of the activities organised were declared during the valedictory. In Poster Designing competition Mehfooza Jan (sem I), Latif Hussain (sem IV), Nargis Qasim (Sem I) secured first, second and third positions respectively.
