Kulgam,14-Feb; People in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district area have complained about contaminated drinking water supply.As per reports to CNS, residents of Hangalbuch Yaripora are facing issues of water supply which require immediate attention but their grievances are not being redressed.Talking about the issues being faced by the inhabitants in the area, residents said that contaminated drinking water was being supplied through rusted years old supply lines from the nearby water body despite paying a hefty amount of fee.“We fetch water from the nearby Nallah and drink the same. We have connected a pipe now into nallah and supply the same to a whole village which puts the health of residents at risk,” they added.On being contacted by CNS, Xen PHE, Kulgam Nawaz Ahmad said that the area is getting supply from one of the Filtration plants that exists at Hanger. “I will depute a team to the area and address the issues of locals under Jal Jeevan Mission”,he said
