BARAMULLA, MARCH 10: Zila Sainik Welfare Board (ZSWB) Baramulla in collaboration with District Administration celebrated International Women’s day at Sainik Welfare Office, Baramulla.Assistant Commissioner Revenue Peerzada Mumtaz Ahmad was the chief guest on the occasion while as Zila Sainik Welfare Officer Commander (Retd) Girdhari Lal was the guest of honour.Large number of Veer Naris (War widows), Widows and dependent Girl children of veterans i.e. Ex-servicemen from Army, Navy and Air force were present in the event.Assistant Commissioner Revenue addressed the gathering and touched upon the aspects of women empowerment, rights and gender equality. He assured the women present about the resolution of all issues of Veer Naris (War widows), Widows and their dependents on priority.Sainik Welfare Officer briefed the women about the history of the day and theme for the year 2023 i.e. “DigitALL: Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality”. He covered the organizational role and area of responsibility of the Sainik Board, Baramulla.
