BJP Govt failed to provide jobs to unemployed youth: Harshdev

    JAMMU, July 19: Castigating BJP headed Government of India for failure on new recruitment front and merely resorting to fake claims, Aam Aadmi Party today alleged that situation is more grim in Jammu and Kashmir where helpless workers of different Government departments are finding no takers of their demands in Government quarters.To highlight the issue of rising unemployment and gross failure of Government, AAP leader and former minister Harsh Dev Singh accompanied by other party leaders said that big promises were made with the people of India regarding employment during 2014 and 2019 polls but BJP headed Govt has done nothing on these promises and is merely resorting to hollow sloganeering.Click here to watch videoHarsh Dev reminisced the lofty promises made by BJP leadership of providing two crore jobs per year besides at least one Govt job for each household in country. He stated that situation is more grim in Jammu and Kashmir where there is no politically elected Government from last around 4 years and BJP has left no stone up turned to damage the democratic as well as the recruitment institutions.AAP leader added that new recruitment in J&K is moving at snails pace and the fresh recruitment steps either completed or under process are `gheraoed’ by large scale irregularities which is evident from J&K Police SI recruitment scam and J&K Fire and Emergency Services recruitment scam.They further said that daily wagers of Jal Shakti Department are on roads and not working from weeks and LG’s administration under the control of BJP Govt has failed to get this strike called off and is leaving people in a state of lurch due to water scarcity amid protest by employees. He alleged that thousands of youth engaged on contractual, consolidated basis had been dis-engaged during the present regime.Pointing towards the pathetic plight of the unemployed youth protesting on the roads every other day, they accused the BJP Govt of cheating the daily wagers, BSF & CISF aspirants, Border battalions aspirants, NHM, MGNREGA, SAMAGRA, Anganwari & Asha workers, Dental surgeons, contractual teachers, SPOs, VDCs, Home Guards, SHGs, REKs, empanelled RETs, Pharmacists, NYCs, NYVs, REJ, REZ during elections on the assurances of gainful employment and regularization.Regretting that unemployment rate in J&K had become highest in the country, Singh and other AAP leaders urged upon the Lt Governor to personally intervene in view of massive outrage sparked amongst the unemployed youth across the J&K UT.
