Dawar Gurez, 02 April 2022: To provide an opportunity and encourage the young talent in the valley in the field of arts and culture, Indian Army organized an art and cultural mela on 2nd April 2022 at Degree College, Dawar. The event witnessed the melody of local regional and modern folk music, and dance from different participating teams from around the villages in Dawar. The main attraction of the mela was splendid performance of individual talents as well as various cultural groups which enthralled the audience.and connected the youth and old including women across all age groups.The event witnessed presence of around 120 locals. With different stalls which had a variety of food and local arts were installed around the stage. It created an opportunity for local vendors to scale their product and spread the word and also provided list of options for people coming around.This mela provided the platform for local talent to showcase their arts and music to all, regardless of age or background. It helped turning concepts into something tangible and, as opposed to being static displays, present interactive experiences that help them connect with their communities. The audience and participants were thankful to the Indian Army for making this event possible and creating an avenue to connect. The event culminated with felicitation of all worthy participants followed by spirited slogans of *Bhaarat Mata Ki Jai*.
