    Anantnag, Oct 12: Exhibiting and demonstrating Chain Stitch & Crewel Embroidery, a one day Buyer Seller Meet was held on Tuesday at Common Facility Centre of Martand Chain Stitch & Crewel Embroidery Cluster Ranipora Anantnag. In a statement issued, the event was organised to exhibit/ demonstrate and sell the products produced at the said cluster by associated artisans/ stakeholders. While speaking on the occasion, Secretary CEO KVIB highlighted the aims, objectives and expected impact of the said cluster.He informed that the machinery and other infrastructure installed at the CFC site are solely for the benefit of associated artisans and stakeholders.He encouraged them to play an active role in ensuring successful operationalization of the cluster. Earlier, Rashid Ahmad Qadri, Dy. CEO J&K KVIB Kashmir Division reiterated upon participants and locals to strive and ensure participation of sufficient number of artisans in the said cluster. He added that besides availability of common facilities under one roof, the artisans shall be provided with marketing and other forward linkages like creation of online web- portal and sponsorship of artisans to national and international trade fairs. Products like cushion covers, pillows, wall hangings, tea sheets etc. were placed for display and sale. The buyers actively participated in the said event and purchased various items. Further, the prospective buyers also placed orders for various products. All the attendees were overwhelmed by the keen interest displayed by senior officers of the Board, especially Secretary/CEO J&K KVIB and Dy. CEO KVIB- KD for implementation of the said cluster. Secretary/CEO and Dy. CEO KVIB-KD assured all possible assistance to the stakeholders/ registered artisans and reiterated upon them to work in close coordination to ensure successful implementation of the cluster.The meet was chaired by Atul Sharma, Secretary/ CEO J&K KVIB, Rashid Ahmad Qadri, Dy. CEO J&K KVIB, besides senior officers from Board, representatives from Technical Agency (CDI Srinagar) and officers from District Administration also attended the event.
