Kulgam,14-May :District Administration Kulgam and Rural development Deptt in collaboration with tourism department,Aharbal Development Authority, DYSSO & Forest department Kulgam Organized a day long festival at Panchan pathri in DK Marg of Kulgam district. The aim and object of this event was to project and promote Panchan pathri as an attractive tourist destination DDC chairperson Mohammad Afzal Parray & Deputy Commissioner, Kulgam , Dr. Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat jointly inaugurated the festival.Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner said that the District Administration shall take all necessary steps to develop infrastructure, promote and explore Panchan pathri as a new tourist destination which will eventually help to boost local economy.He said the overwhelming response of people to the festival has inspired us a lot and in future such events shall be continued and celebrated to promote Panchan pathri as a new and attractive tourist destination.He also thanked the artists for presenting various cultural items during the festival.The event was also marked by flagging off in which local Ponnywalas participated.
