,14-Apr;: Locals of Hanjiwera area of District Baranulla have Registered their Strong Protest against the Education department as the students of the area have been compelled to attend classes in Imambaras.Locals told that the School Building was declared Unsafe by the Authorities but unfortunately Education Department also failed to Construct a School Building and thus forcing Hundreds of Poor Students of the area to study Under Open Sky.Later on as a good-will gesture Locals of the area offered imam Baras for the smooth functioning of education system in the area.”What could be more shameful for the government which claims of providing quality education to all and files affidavit in HRD Ministry about providing cent percent basic facilities to government schools all across the UT when our wards are being forced to study in the religious places,” protestors told .Parents alleged that it was difficult to carry teaching learning activities simultaneously as it has taken a mental and physical toll on students.“The painful thing is this that it is not certain for how long students of this school will have to continue studies like this as education department seems to be in deep slumber”’,they addedMeanwhile, chief education officer Baramulla, G M Lone while seeking cooperation of locals told
that they will construct the building on priority basis.However Zeo Singhpora alleged that the locals of Hanjiwera are lying & are socially unaware.(CNS)
