EJAC demands release of pending salaries before Eid

    Srinagar,18-Apr; :The Employees Joint Action Committee Jammu Kashmir (EJAC) urges the Jk government to release the pending salaries and wages of employees and all the temporary workers before Eid.In a statement issued to the president EJAC Fayaz Ahmad Shabnam today said that the auspicious day of Eid is fast approaching and yet the hundreds of employees & temporary workers are without salaries despite their repeated requests for the release of their earned salaries & wages.Shabnam said that withholding of earned salaries has added to their miseries and worries in these hard times and are forced to starvation. He added that these employees have always been on front line to combat any calamity and non payment of earned salaries & wages is quite injustice not only with them but with their families as well.The EJAC President Fayaz Ahmad Shabnam urges the government especially worthy Chief Secretary Dr Arun Kumar Mehta & the Financial Commissioner Atal Dullo to intervene into the matter personally and redress the genuine grievances of the employees and workers by releasing their salaries and wages before Eid so that these employees & workers can heave a sigh of relief & celebrate Eid with their children and families.The EJAC President Fayaz Ahmad Shabnam is hopeful that the government will resolve the issue of pending salaries & wages in the larger interests of common good.
