Ex service men benefit with govt policy change

    Srinagar,24 Dec; General Administration Department, Government of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir issued Notification No. GAD-MTGORBIV/142/2021-09-GAD dated 20 Oct 2021, wherein new infrastructure initiatives have been approved for Ex-Servicemen and their kin. Five kanals of land at Airport road, Srinagar has been sanctioned for construction of a boy’s hostel for kin of brave-hearts, who have laid down their lives in the line of duty.The Hon’ble Home Minister of India, Shri Amit Shah e- inaugurated the 100 bedded hostel, which will be constructed at a cost of Rs. 7.44 crores, on 25 Oct 2021.The notification has also promulgated orders for acquisition of 16 kanals of land for establishing Zila Sainik Welfare Offices (ZSWO) in each district of Kashmir Valley.Govt accommodation for ZSWOs (Adhoc) will be made available in three DC office complexes in Anantnag, Baramulla and Bandipora, till the establishment of ZSWOs.According to PRO (Defence) Srinagar, Col Emron Musavi, The positive steps by the Government will greatly benefit the Ex-Servicemen, who have proudly served the Army and the country.(CNS)
