Gulshan books donates 308 books to Libraries

    Srinagar,10-Feb; A reputed bookshop and publishing house Gulshan Books in Srinagar has donated 308 books to Public Research libraries at press colony Srinagar.Confirming it, Chief In editor of media group and Chief Librarian Rasheed Rahi said the collection comprise of books related to fiction, history of Kashmir, religion, other literature counting more than 300.Gulshan Books Kashmir said that they are trying our best to help students open the doors of knowledge to enlighten their minds in this strenuous time.Sheikh Aijaz Ahmad, owner GBK, on the occasion, said that books are the real source of information related to different fields, subjects including social, political and religious and are treasure of knowledge for the future generations. These also serve source of inspiration to achieve success in life and induce interest for reading and acquiring knowledge.Meanwhile, Rasheed Rahi has thankfully acknowledged such donations from time to time. “The Bibliophiles are once again requested to donate their books to Public Research Libraries for use by the students and scholars”, Rahi appealed.The Gulshan Books, a division of Sheikh Muhammad Usman and Sons owns some of the oldest bookstores in the region, with a collection of over 80,000 titles spread across four outlets—Residency Road, Gaw Kadal and Nehru Park in Srinagar, and one in Leh-Ladakh.(CNS)
