National Conference leader Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar on Thursday resigned from the post of district president Ganderbal.Sheikh, who was district president of NC for Ganderbal district has announced his resignation from the post through a tweet.However, he said that he will continue to carry forward the mission of Sher-e-Kashmir for which the people of J&K have sacrificed.”I’m resigning from the post of District President @JKNC_ Ganderbal & I will continue to carry forward the mission of Sher-e-Kashmir for which the people of J&K have sacrificed @OmarAbdullah,” he tweeted.Meanwhile, in the last leg of Party’s organisational elections, Ghulam Nabi Rather was unanimously elected as district president Ganderbal.The elections for the post was carried out at the party’s office in Ganderbal in the presence of In-charge elections Dr Bashir Veeri and election observers including Syed Tauqeer, JS Azad, GN Bhat in a fair and transparent manner.Party General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Additional GS Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, and Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani have passed on good wishes to Ghulam Nabi Rather on his victory hopping that his election for the coveted party post will benefit the party at the grass root level
