Srinagar,28- Feb : Divisional Commissioner PK Pole along with Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar on Monday visited the historic Jamia Masjid to review the arrangements in order to allow the Friday prayers that remained suspended for 30 consecutive weeks. Sources told that the duo held meeting with Imam Jamia and Secretary Auqaf Jamia Masjid as the government is considering to reopen the historic Jamia Masjid in the next week.Pertinently, Mutahida Majlis-e-Ulema (MMU), on Saturday termed the closure of historic Jamia Masjid and barring Mirwaiz Umar Farooq from offering prayers as unjustified move.(CNS)
